The Backyard Builders Program is a comprehensive initiative by the City of Long Beach designed to assist ten eligible property owners in financing, designing, permitting, and constructing an ADU on their property. In exchange, homeowners agree to rent out the newly built ADU to income-qualified tenants at an affordable rate for a minimum of five years.
